2024 YRâ‚„ is an asteroid between 40 and 100 metres in diameter, classified as an Apollo-type near-Earth object. It was discovered by the Chilean station of the Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System on 27 December 2024.
New observations have reduced the asteroid's collision probability to 0.16%, but astronomers emphasize ongoing tracking is necessary.
