Hurricane Erin is an active tropical cyclone currently threatening the East Coast of the United States and Bermuda. The fifth named storm, first hurricane and first major hurricane of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, Erin developed from a tropical wave on August 11, while passing westward over Cape Verde.
