Paramount+ Renews Taylor Sheridan’s Hit Series 'Landman' for Season 2

The West Texas oil drama, starring Billy Bob Thornton, continues its record-breaking success on the streaming platform.

Paramount+ has officially renewed 'Landman' for a second season following its highly successful first run, which concluded in January 2025.
The series, created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, is set in the West Texas oil fields and explores themes of ambition, working-class struggles, and energy politics.
'Landman' broke streaming records for Paramount+, with its premiere and finale becoming the most-watched episodes in the platform’s history, amassing 35 million global viewers for its debut.
Billy Bob Thornton, who stars as oil field negotiator Tommy Norris, earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in the series.
The show is based on the Texas Monthly podcast 'Boomtown' and is part of Sheridan's growing slate of hits for Paramount+, including 'Tulsa King' and 'Lioness.'
