First Responders to Save NFL Star at ESPYS; Women's Soccer Team & Pitcher Also Honored

The first responders who saved NFL star Damar Hamlin after his cardiac arrest will be honored at the ESPY Awards.
The Pat Tillman Award for Service will be given to the Buffalo Bills training staff who acted quickly to save Hamlin's life.
Marie Tillman Shenton, board chair and co-founder of the Pat Tillman Foundation, praised the training staff for their strength, resilience, and commitment to service.
Hamlin collapsed on the field during a game, and his recovery from critical condition was a widely followed story.
The ESPYS will also present the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage to the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team and the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance to White Sox pitcher Liam Hendriks.
