Delhi Cabinet Approves Ayushman Bharat Scheme and Tabling of 14 Pending CAG Reports

In its first meeting, the Rekha Gupta-led government fulfills key campaign promises, reversing decisions by the previous AAP administration.

The Delhi government, under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has approved the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme with an additional ₹5 lakh top-up for residents.
The scheme had been previously blocked by the AAP government, which argued it would downgrade existing healthcare benefits in the capital.
The new Cabinet also announced the tabling of 14 pending Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) reports in the Delhi Assembly, including one on the controversial scrapped liquor policy.
The BJP had made the implementation of Ayushman Bharat a key electoral promise, contrasting it with the AAP's opposition to the scheme.
The Gupta government emphasized its commitment to fulfilling its promises and outlined an agenda focused on development and transparency.
