Vatican City, officially the Vatican City State, is a landlocked sovereign country, city-state, microstate, and enclave surrounded by, and historically a part of, Rome, Italy.
The 88-year-old pontiff is not yet out of danger and will stay at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital for at least another week, according to his medical team.
