Kevin Michael McCarty is an American politician who is the mayor of the city of Sacramento. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2024 representing the 6th Assembly District, which encompasses a portion of the Sacramento metropolitan area, including most of the city of Sacramento.
