Denis Joseph Smith is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman and current assistant coach of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League. He previously served as head coach of the Ottawa Senators for five seasons from 2019 to 2023. As a player, Smith played 45 NHL games with both the Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche.
