Steve Staios Officially Appointed as Ottawa Senators' General Manager

In a bid to improve performance, Senators also name Dave Poulin and Ryan Bowness to senior roles as team struggles in Atlantic Division.

Steve Staios has been officially appointed as the Ottawa Senators' general manager, removing his interim tag.
Dave Poulin has been named the senior vice-president of hockey operations and Ryan Bowness the associate general manager for the Senators.
Staios, Poulin, and Bowness are part of a management reshuffle aimed at improving the Senators' performance, as they currently sit last in the Atlantic Division with a 13-18-0 record.
Poulin, a former NHL player and contributor to TSN, and Bowness, former general manager of the Senators' AHL farm team, will both report to Staios.
The management changes follow the firing of head coach D.J. Smith two weeks ago, with Jacques Martin named as interim head coach.
