Ali Abbasi is an Iranian-Danish filmmaker. He is known for his films Shelley, Border, Holy Spider, and The Apprentice. Abbasi also directed the last two episodes of the first season of the series The Last of Us.
Abbasi denies being dropped by U.S. representation over the incident, claiming it was a career decision, and issues a public apology for his actions.
