Over 60,000 Biometric Gun Safes Recalled after Reports of Unauthorized Access and Child Death

Flawed programming leaves biometric safes in default-to-open mode, leading to the recall of over 60,000 products made by Illinois-based Fortress Safe. The products were sold under various brand names including Fortress, Cabela's, Gettysburg, and Legend Range & Field at major retailers and online platforms between January 2019 and October 2023.
