Centre Unveils ₹5,000-Crore Plan to Modernize Northeast Waterways

Establishing maritime skill centres to train 50,000 youth over a decade, the plan also deploys barges, water metro services and 85 community jetties along the Brahmaputra to strengthen regional connectivity.
