UK Earmarks £2.4bn for Tram Extension to Birmingham City’s Sports Quarter

The investment will extend the metro to serve a £3bn Sports Quarter built around a 62,000-seat stadium plus an indoor arena, aiming for tram service operational well in advance of the 2030 completion date.
