- Lucknow Police recovered the Iranian-breed horse in Maurawan/Mauranwan village of Unnao six days after it was taken from Karbala Talkatora.
- The accused, identified as Salman alias Chhotu (also reported as Chhotu Verma), was arrested and allegedly confessed to selling the animal for ₹1.5 lakh.
- Investigators traced the route through extensive CCTV review, including footage from Lucknow’s Para area, and used technical surveillance to locate the animal.
- Police have added sections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are pursuing the buyer and an alleged accomplice who remain at large.
