Zuckerberg Sells $428M in Meta Shares Amid Stock Rebound

First sale since 2021, Zuckerberg still holds 13% of Meta shares after the sale.

Mark Zuckerberg sold nearly 1.28 million shares of Meta, totaling approximately $428 million, during the last two months of 2023.
This marked the first time Zuckerberg sold Meta shares since November 2021.
Despite the sale, Zuckerberg still owns about 13% of Meta shares, and his personal fortune is estimated to be $125 billion.
Zuckerberg's stock sales are subject to federal capital gains tax of approximately 24%, as well as an additional 13.3% state tax in California.
Meta's stock price rebounded in 2023, increasing by 194% from a seven-year low near the end of 2022.
