Overview
- Friday’s practice saw Mats Zuccarello held out and later ruled week-to-week by coach Peter Laviolette, so he will miss the upcoming game in Las Vegas.
- Alex Turcotte was absent from the same skate and is listed day-to-day, while Quinton Byfield returned to practice and will travel with the team.
- The Kings recalled winger Jared Wright from AHL Ontario to occupy Zuccarello’s spot; Wright scored in both AHL games this week and has prior NHL experience with Los Angeles.
- Coaches moved Alex Laferriere onto power-play reps and shifted line combinations, including pairing Trevor Moore with Erik Haula, as they weigh dressing 11 forwards and seven defensemen versus 12 and six.
- Defenseman Brandt Clarke left practice after cutting his lip on his visor but returned and was cleared to continue skating, underscoring that most practice incidents have been minor while the club manages roster depth.
