ZP School Jalindarnagar Wins 2025 World’s Best School Prizes Community Choice Award

A two-teacher government school grew from a handful of pupils to about 120 using peer-led learning with volunteer-run skills training.

  • The school earned the award by receiving the highest public vote total among 50 shortlisted schools across five categories.
  • Enrollment rose from three to four students in 2021–22 to about 120 in classes 1–8 under the leadership of teacher Dattatray Ware.
  • Its model combines a Subject Friend peer-learning system with a 22‑trade skills program taught by volunteer villagers.
  • Local residents donated land and help maintain facilities, and the school will present its practices at the World Schools Summit in Abu Dhabi on November 15–16.
