Overview

• The upgraded Companion adds cross-platform note-taking that works in Zoom as well as in-person meetings and on Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, with WebEx support coming soon.
• New agentic skills include meeting prep, a group assistant, in-meeting recommendations, automated follow-ups, and a “free up my time” option that flags meetings users can skip.
• Real-time voice translation for Zoom Meetings is slated for December, with support reported for English, German, Chinese, French, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Portuguese, and Italian.
• Photorealistic avatars that mimic a user’s live video are planned for December, with Zoom developing live camera authentication and in-meeting tile notices to indicate avatar use.
• AI Companion 3.0 will be included at no additional cost for paid Zoom Workplace accounts in November, while a low-code Custom AI Companion add-on to build tailored agents is available now at $12 per user per month.
