Zoho’s Arattai Switches On End-to-End Encryption Tonight

Users must update to move chats into new encrypted sessions during a brief three-day transition.

Sridhar Vembu said on X that platform-wide end-to-end encryption will be enabled Tuesday night in Indian Standard Time.
Users are urged to install the latest Arattai from the Play Store or App Store to participate in the upgrade.
When both parties update, a fresh encrypted one-to-one chat is created while the previous non-encrypted thread is archived and redirects to the new session.
Legacy chats with contacts on older versions can continue for three days, after which the latest app becomes mandatory and encryption is enforced across the service.
Group conversations will gain end-to-end encryption in the coming weeks for certain group sizes, and encrypted chat backups are expected in about two weeks.
