Jeyesh Ram, a 27-year-old entrepreneur and founder of Tools Hub, died in a paragliding accident in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, after a mid-air collision caused his paraglider to collapse.
The pilot, Ashwani Kumar, sustained severe injuries and is undergoing treatment, while a magisterial probe has been ordered into the incident.
Zoho CEO Sridhar Vembu, a close family friend of the victim, attended the funeral and called for stronger regulatory oversight of adventure sports in India, citing frequent accidents in the sector.
Vembu described Ram as a promising entrepreneur and risk-taker but warned young people to avoid what he called 'bad risks' like paragliding in accident-prone areas.
