Overview

  • President Volodymyr Zelensky said trials of the Flamingo cruise missile were successful and set a window of January–February for mass production, contingent on funding.
  • Developers and independent experts report the FP-5 Flamingo has a roughly 3,000 km range, about a 1,150 kg payload, and accuracy near 14 meters.
  • Fire Point says it currently builds about one Flamingo per day and aims to scale output to roughly seven per day by October.
  • Zelensky emphasized operational secrecy, saying officials will limit public discussion until Ukraine has hundreds of missiles available.
  • Associated Press reporters saw the missile displayed at a Fire Point facility that also produces FP-1 drones, which the company says can reach up to 1,600 km with a 60 kg payload and account for a majority of deep strikes into Russia.
