Despite the slow progress of the ongoing war, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy ensures that the country would continue to strive for success. As part of this, Zelenskiy hinted at a Ukrainian battlefield plan for 2024, the details of which he kept undisclosed.
While acknowledging the possibility of a stalemate in the war, Zelenskiy emphasized the need for unity among Ukrainians. He acknowledged the crucial role of Western military aid to Ukraine, expressing gratitude but also concern over its sustainability.
Addressing a potential change in US policy towards Ukraine, Zelenskiy voiced concern over certain voices in the U.S. Republican party that promote the cutback of support for Kyiv.
In light of the European Union's favorable report on Ukraine's progress towards category membership, Zelenskiy reaffirmed Kyiv's commitment to anti-corruption reform – a crucial condition for EU integration and vital for attracting billions of dollars to help rebuild the country post-war.
Zelenskiy has reassured that Ukraine could ensure post-war reconstruction free from corruption. He proposed the use of Russian assets that were frozen after the invasion, to fund Ukraine's rehabilitation.
