Overview

• ZDFneo will air the revival as a four-episode special on 31 December 2025 at 20:15, with all episodes streaming in the ZDF Mediathek from 30 December at 10:00.
• Production by Prime Productions is underway in Arnsberg through the end of October, marking the show's first new episodes in more than twelve years.
• Lutz van der Horst, Fabian Köster and Mai Thi Nguyen-Kim will present the new edition, while original hosts Wigald Boning and Bernhard Hoëcker are not returning.
• The format continues its do-not-try-this-at-home experiments, including tests such as extinguishing a burning caravan, indoor camping and chemical staircase cleaning, with ZDF editor Bjørn Christian Mohr overseeing the new episodes.
• The series originally ran in 2012–2013 and later drew notable rerun audiences on ZDFneo, with DWDL noting up to 6.7% market share among viewers aged 14–49 and suggesting this may have encouraged the relaunch.
