Overview

  • ZDF preempted its planned three-hour Krimi-Marathon on July 22 to air live coverage of the UEFA Women’s Euro semifinal between England and Italy.
  • The network rescheduled both parts of the 2021 two-part crime film “Waldgericht – Ein Schwarzwaldkrimi” to July 23 at 20:15 and 21:45.
  • Coverage opened with “Sportstudio live” at 20:15 followed by the match at 21:00, and late-night shows capped the evening.
  • Under public-service mandates, ARD and ZDF alternate free-to-air rights and must flexibly adjust their schedules when live Euro matches conflict with regular programming.
  • ZDF cautioned that potential extra time or penalty shootouts during live matches could prompt additional changes to its prime-time lineup.
