Zayda Steel Declines To Renew WWE ID Contract

She cast the move as a personal career choice following a year in WWE’s Independent Development program that allowed outside bookings.

Steel announced on X that she will not renew, expressing gratitude for the experience and saying she is focused on what is best for her career at age 21.
She was among the first prospects revealed for WWE ID in late 2024 and became a regular on WWE EVOLVE as part of the Vanity Project.
In August she wrestled in the inaugural WWE ID Women’s Championship triple threat with Kylie Rae and Zara Zakher; Rae won and later vacated the title due to pregnancy.
She has remained active on the independent scene, most recently working ETU Wrestling’s I Really Mean It show on Sept. 28.
Her departure aligns with recent turnover in WWE ID, including Freedom Ramsay leaving in March and August releases of Ice Williams, Jordan Oasis, and Aaron Roberts.
