- President Asif Ali Zardari visited the Etigar Mosque in Kashgar, was received by CPC Kashgar chief Yao Ning and Imam Maimaiti Juben, and offered the Asr prayer.

- In Ürümqi, Zardari met Xinjiang Party Secretary Chen Xiaojiang, voiced hopes for road access between Xinjiang and northern Pakistan, and reaffirmed cooperation against terrorism and extremism.
- He toured the Kashgar Free Trade Zone, which links to Pakistan’s Sost and Gwadar ports, and reviewed briefings on its logistics, bonded warehousing and digital trade operations.
- Later, he met Serene Air CEO Yunchun Yang to urge expanded connectivity as the Chinese‑invested Pakistani carrier pledged further investment, and he visited Kashgar University to promote academic exchange with Pakistani students.
