Zara to Reopen 50 Stores in Ukraine Starting April 1

Inditex, the parent company of Zara, announces the gradual reopening of stores, prioritizing employee and customer safety amidst ongoing conflict.

Inditex plans to reopen 50 of its 80 stores in Ukraine, with the first 20, including three Zara outlets, to open in Kyiv shopping centers.
The reopening is based on improved local market circumstances, despite the ongoing conflict in parts of the country.
Over 30 stores in the south and east of Ukraine, where the conflict is most intense, will remain closed.
Inditex has continued to pay salaries to its employees in Ukraine since suspending operations in February 2022.
The company reported record profits in its most recent financial results, with a 22 percent increase in net profits year-over-year.
