Overview

  • On July 31, IMSS subdelegate Miguel Amezcua Alejo delivered the feasibility letter that makes Zamora the first municipality in Michoacán authorized to construct a Centro Educativo de Cuidados Infantiles
  • The new center will serve children aged 43 days to four years under a multidisciplinary model prioritizing educational, emotional, preventive and psychological development
  • Dr. José Miguel Ángel Van-Dick Puga and Maestro Héctor Vargas Ortiz played key roles within IMSS’s regional administration to secure the authorization
  • Following its accreditation by the International Association of the Educating Cities, Zamora installed a Ciudad Educadora council to integrate learning and child participation into public spaces
  • Leaders from the municipality, IMSS and the Ciudad Educadora council have begun coordinating next steps on planning, design and operations for the facility
