Overview

  • President Carlos Soto gave the banderazo to start works on Calle Higos and Privada Camelinas on July 28, advancing a municipal push to rehabilitate neglected streets.
  • The Calle Higos intervention in Colonia El Vergel will deliver 446.5 m² of hydraulic concrete pavement, new drainage and potable water lines for 3,794 residents at a cost of 1.65 million pesos, with completion set for November 4.
  • Privada Camelinas between Galeana and Cerrada will see 1,180 m² of asphalt pavement, 161 m of sanitary drainage, 160 m of water piping, six storm drains and domestic connections under a 2.5 million peso budget.
  • These works build on the July 24 launch of the Calle Galicia project in Colonia Infonavit La Pradera, which secured 4.48 million pesos to benefit over 10,000 inhabitants and finish by December 15.
  • Municipal Obras Públicas officials report all three projects are progressing on schedule as part of a broader effort to improve mobility and quality of life after years of deferred maintenance.
