Zamora Announces 3.1 Million-Peso Bonus Schedule for Public Employees

All bonus installments will be exempt from deductions, with provincial coverage for any municipal shortfalls beginning July 18 through December.

Overview

  • The bonus package includes a 1,000,000-peso Bono Aguinaldo paid in two 500,000-peso installments on July 18 and August 12 and a 2,100,000-peso Bono de Fin de Año paid in three 700,000-peso installments on October 21, November 18 and December 23.
  • The final payment dates and amounts were agreed by the Mesa de Diálogo y Trabajo with union representatives, fulfilling commitments made in Zamora’s April 27 legislative address.
  • Employees will receive the full bonus amounts without any deductions to ensure direct benefit to workers.
  • Municipal public employees on the bank payroll can opt in through their mayors, and the province has pledged to fund any local budget gaps.
  • Vice Governor Carlos Silva Neder and majority blocs in the provincial legislature hailed the move as prudent fiscal management and a boost to local commerce while governors press the national government for timely transfers.
