Despite the comment, Levi has a long history with James Gunn and has clarified that he is on good terms with him, suggesting the comment may have been a joke rather than a genuine call-out.
'Shazam! Fury of the Gods' was one of the lowest-earning DCEU entries of all time, leading to uncertainty about Levi's future in the DCU.
Levi has expressed interest in working with a representative of the Green Lantern Corps and has stated that he is proud of both 'Shazam!' films, despite their performance.
