Veteran forward Zach Parise has signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche for $825,000.
Parise was previously an unrestricted free agent and had been training at home in Minnesota while considering options for his return.
He’s coming off a 21-goal season in which he played all 82 games for the New York Islanders.
Parise is expected to start practicing with the Avalanche immediately and is likely to debut after the All-Star break.
