Overview

• The outage is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 14 and will affect specific municipalities on the Yucatán coast
• Eleven communities, including Progreso, Chelem and Chicxulub Puerto, will experience uninterrupted power cuts while five others, such as Tetiz, will face intermittent outages
• The work represents the first phase of a national initiative to modernize energy infrastructure and strengthen regional distribution
• Officials have urged residents to disconnect electronics, keep refrigerators closed and ensure homes are equipped with lamps and charged batteries
• Protección Civil will coordinate with CFE and AEY to monitor voltage stability and provide emergency support during the planned outage
