YouTube’s 2025 Recap Expands Worldwide With Shareable Year-in-Review

The feature builds a personalized set of up to 12 cards from your watch history, adding a viewing personality and music stats with a handoff to deeper insights in YouTube Music.

Overview

  • Launched on December 2 in North America, Recap is rolling out this week to more regions including the UK and India, with broader availability continuing globally.
  • Users can find their Recap on the You tab or homepage, or by visiting youtube.com/recap on desktop and mobile, where it plays as a Story-style slideshow that can be shared.
  • Each recap highlights top channels and interests, shows how viewing evolved over 2025, and assigns a personality label; heavy music listeners also see top artists and songs with a link to YouTube Music for genres, podcasts and international listening.
  • Eligibility excludes children under 13, supervised accounts, and accounts with paused or auto-deleted watch history, and some users without enough 2025 watch history may not receive a recap.
  • Early users have reported slideshow animation glitches, with some finding a fix by disabling phone settings that reduce animations, and YouTube has also published its 2025 End of Year lists of top creators, topics, podcasts and songs.
