Overview

  • Starting July 15, the YouTube Partner Program will demonetize content deemed mass-produced, repetitive or otherwise inauthentic under newly clarified quality criteria.
  • Videos that reuse third-party material without transformation, employ auto-generated voices without original commentary, follow the same format repeatedly or receive only superficial edits will be excluded from monetization.
  • YouTube says this update refines long-standing rules rather than imposing a broad ban on reaction or clip channels, even as creators adjust their strategies ahead of the deadline.
  • Originality checks will combine AI detection tools with human review, and channels that fail to comply risk demonetization, removal from YPP or suspension, with appeal rights available.
  • AI-assisted content remains permitted provided creators add meaningful human value through unique analysis, interpretation or customization.
