YouTube Star MatPat Announces Semi-Retirement from Game Theorists Channel

The popular YouTuber plans to step back from hosting duties in March 2024, handing over his channels to his staff while remaining involved behind the scenes.

Matthew Patrick, known as MatPat, has announced his semi-retirement from YouTube, stating that he will host his last episode on March 9, 2024.
MatPat and his wife, Stephanie, co-founded the Game Theorists channel, known for its expert analysis of video game lore, particularly Five Nights at Freddy's.
MatPat's channels, which include spin-offs devoted to film, food, and style, will be handed over to four members of his staff.
Despite stepping back from hosting, MatPat plans to stay involved behind the scenes and may appear in some livestreams and Style Theory videos.
MatPat's decision to step back is driven by a desire to spend more time with his family and to move away from a 'work first' focus.
