YouTube Rolls Out AI-Powered Auto-Dubbing for Multilingual Video Accessibility

YouTube's auto-dubbing tool uses AI to translate and dub videos into English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.
The feature is currently available to hundreds of thousands of channels in the YouTube Partner Program that focus on knowledge and informational content.
Creators can preview, unpublish, or delete dubbed versions of their videos, retaining control over the translated content.
The AI-generated dubs are still in development, with YouTube acknowledging limitations in accuracy and naturalness, especially for tone and emotion replication.
Future updates, including an 'Expressive Speech' feature, aim to improve the dubbing's ability to reflect the speaker's tone, emotions, and ambiance.
