Overview
- YouTube says the zero-minute Shorts timer is live for parents and is rolling out to all users on Android and iOS.
- Setting the limit to zero hides the Shorts tab and often removes Shorts from the Home feed once the limit is reached.
- The app still shows Shorts in the Subscriptions feed and lets you open individual Shorts from links.
- You can enable it in Settings under Time management by toggling Shorts feed limit and selecting 0 minutes.
- The change updates a timer first announced in October 2025 that had a 15-minute minimum and shows YouTube giving users more control without dropping Shorts.
