Overview

• A man in his 20s was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital after the crash and died shortly after arrival.
• The collision occurred at 9.10pm on July 7 on the A51 Lichfield Road when a black Nissan Juke left the carriageway and hit a tree just south of Aston Marina.
• A woman and child were also taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries.
• The A51 was closed between the A34 Aston Island and B5027 Lichfield Road as officers examined the scene.
• Police are appealing for dashcam footage and eyewitness information, referencing incident number 705 of July 7.
