Overview

  • Yosemite's 2025 reservation system will apply daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. between June 15 and August 15, as well as Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.
  • Reservations can be made starting May 6 at 8 a.m. PST through Recreation.gov, with detailed instructions available on the park’s website and app.
  • Exemptions include visitors with lodging, campsite, wilderness permits, special use permits, commercial tours, or hotel shuttle bookings.
  • Visitors without reservations can access the park before 6 a.m., after 2 p.m., or at any time via public buses through the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System.
  • The system, announced later than in previous years, has drawn mixed reactions from conservationists and local businesses concerned about economic impacts and planning challenges.
