Overview

  • Yogini Ekadashi in 2025 begins at 7:18 AM on June 21 and concludes at 4:27 AM on June 22, with parana observed between 1:47 PM and 4:35 PM on June 22.
  • Devshayani Ekadashi tithi runs from 6:58 PM on July 5 to 9:14 PM on July 6, with the fast to be broken on July 7 between 5:29 AM and 8:16 AM.
  • Observing Yogini Ekadashi is believed to cleanse sins, relieve diseases and aid in attaining moksha, with devotees bathing, performing puja and chanting mantras such as ‘Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.’
  • Devshayani Ekadashi inaugurates Chaturmas as Lord Vishnu enters a four-month yogic slumber, during which Lord Shiva assumes cosmic responsibilities.
  • Both Ekadashi observances require strict fasting rules, special prayers and offerings, and prohibit grains and beans on Yogini Ekadashi to maximize spiritual merit.
