Yogi Adityanath Unveils ₹1,500 Crore Atal Puram Township in Agra

Construction will begin this month in three phases following the ₹784 crore land acquisition coupled with a ₹731 crore development allocation.

Overview

  • This is ADA’s largest housing initiative since 1989, with development planned in three phases across 11 sectors.
  • Farmers agreed to sell 340 acres at the junction of the Agra Inner Ring Road, Southern Bypass and Gwalior Road at four times circle rates, netting ₹784 crore.
  • An additional ₹731 crore has been allocated for roads, underground utilities and sewerage within the township.
  • Layouts include 1,430 residential plots, 18 group housing plots and 96 commercial plots designed to house nearly 10,000 families.
  • The township will feature underground utility ducts, a water treatment plant and essential public facilities such as a police post, fire station and convention centre.
