Yogi Adityanath to Inaugurate World's First Ramayana Wax Museum in Ayodhya on Oct. 19

Built for ₹6 crore, the two-story, 9,850-sq-ft site features 50 Ramayana figures, ₹100 entry, 100-person limit.

  • The inauguration is scheduled during Deepotsav 2025, adding a new attraction to the post–Ram Temple tourism push.
  • The museum stands on the Chaudah Kosi Parikrama route opposite Kashiram Colony in Ayodhya.
  • Operations will run in collaboration with the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation, which will receive 12% of revenue.
  • Kerala-based Sunil Wax Museum built the facility, drawing on experience from wax museums in Lonavala and Thiruvananthapuram.
  • Displays follow a South Indian architectural design with staged Ramayana episodes and 3D light effects, supported by CCTV, fire systems with four emergency exits, and planned parking and visitor amenities.
