Overview
- The chief minister inaugurated Kalyan Mandaps at Manbela and Rapti Nagar Extension built by the GDA at costs of ₹2.65 crore and ₹85 lakh, with the Manbela hall supported by his MLA fund.
- The facilities can host about 250 and 125 people respectively, with rentals roughly ₹11,000–₹25,000 intended to ease costs for middle- and lower-income households.
- In his address, he said Uttar Pradesh is now riot-free and mafia-free, asserting greater safety for women and traders and better local job prospects for youth.
- He cited post-2017 developments including the revival of the Gorakhpur fertiliser plant and Pipraich sugar mill, establishment of AIIMS Gorakhpur, and four-lane links cutting Gorakhpur–Lucknow travel to about three hours.
- He pointed to improved encephalitis care in Manbela and access to treatment via Ayushman Bharat and ₹1,100 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in a year, and called the halls a model being adopted in Prayagraj, Varanasi and Meerut.
