Yogi Adityanath Links Sanskrit Revival to Women’s Skills Push at Varanasi Event

  • At the Annapurna Rishikul Brahmacharya Ashram in Varanasi, the chief minister distributed sewing machines, laptops and certificates to about 250 trainees run through the Kashi Annapurna Annakshetra Trust.

  • He said the state provides scholarships for Sanskrit students and researchers and plans government support for accommodation and meals, with additional grants for advanced study.
  • Positioning textiles as a major employer after agriculture, he cited strong ODOP demand and pointed to a 1,100-acre PM Mitra Park in Lucknow and additional parks named after Sant Kabirdas for training and production.
  • The event coincided with Sharad Purnima and the institution’s 108th anniversary, where he also planted saplings, fed cows and tied the programme to Mission Shakti’s focus on women’s self-reliance.
