Overview

  • On June 21, the Reasi district administration hosted a yoga session on the world’s highest railway bridge, welcoming civil officers, rail staff, security forces and local enthusiasts on the deck.
  • The steel arch spans 1,315 metres and rises 359 metres above the Chenab River, with engineering designed to endure seismic shocks and high winds.
  • Inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on June 9, the bridge completes the first direct rail link between Jammu and Srinagar, transforming Kashmir’s connectivity.
  • Nationwide events marked the 11th International Day of Yoga, drawing participants from across India in support of integrated wellness.
  • From Visakhapatnam, Modi called on the international community to make inner peace a global policy by embracing yoga’s unifying principles.
