YEIDA Launches EWS Housing Scheme and Approves 54 Projects Near Noida Airport

Offering 30-square-metre plots at ₹7.5 lakh to low-income workers, the plan expands affordable housing, creates recreation zones, safety facilities, industrial infrastructure.

Overview

  • At its June 18 board meeting YEIDA approved 54 infrastructure and development projects spanning housing, recreation, safety and industry
  • The EWS housing scheme will allocate 4,288 30-sq-m plots in Sectors 18 and 20 at ₹7.5 lakh each to families earning under ₹3 lakh, with quotas for local workers, defence veterans and YEIDA staff
  • A 1,200-acre Green Recreation Zone in Sectors 22F and 23B will offer theme parks, water sports venues, cinemas and convention centres through a public-private partnership
  • Safety upgrades include a 1,000-sq-m police station at the airport site and two fire stations in Sectors 10 and 32 on 7,485-sq-m plots transferred at ₹1 per sq m
  • Industrial and transport initiatives feature an electronics manufacturing cluster in Sector 10 backed by ₹341 crore investment, 500 air-conditioned electric buses under the GCC model and ongoing factory construction in the Sector-29 Apparel Park
