Yankees' No. 2 Pitching Prospect Will Warren Expected to Debut in 2024

Warren, who recorded a 3.35 ERA in 25 starts last season, could join the rotation if injuries persist.

Will Warren, the Yankees’ no. 2 pitching prospect, is expected to make his MLB debut in 2024.
Warren was an eighth-round draft pick in 2021 and has since made 25 starts between Double-A Somerset and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre, recording a 3.35 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with 149 strikeouts in 129 innings.
Yankees pitching coach Matt Blake spoke highly of Warren, indicating that he will be in the conversation for the rotation, particularly if the Yankees’ rotation is once again plagued by injuries.
Warren has been working in Tampa and is expected to be seen quite a bit in spring training.
Warren is not currently on the 40-man roster, but the Yankees could easily make space for him if he proves worthy of a big league job this spring or if injuries pile up again.
