• The bobblehead depicts Costanza napping under former owner George Steinbrenner’s desk and includes his quote, “I love a good nap. That’s the only thing getting me out of bed in the morning.”
• This event continues the tradition from last season when the Yankees gave away a different Costanza bobblehead showing him in a batting stance from the episode “The Abstinence.”
• The giveaway is confirmed for August 21 at Yankee Stadium during the Yankees–Red Sox matchup and is strictly limited to the first 18,000 attendees.
• The design honors the 1997 “Seinfeld” episode “The Nap,” in which Costanza transforms his office into a makeshift sleeping area.
• High demand was evident last year when fans queued hours before the first pitch to secure the original George Costanza bobblehead.
