Yankees Alter Road Uniforms for 2024 Season, Sparking Fan Outrage

The New York Yankees are making changes to their road uniforms for the 2024 season, removing the white piping around the navy blue letters and numbers, and the navy blue and white sleeve trim.
These changes will make the Yankees’ road jerseys look more like they did prior to 1973, when the organization added the white outline around “NEW YORK” and the numbers on the back.
Despite being a minor change, many fans are upset, believing that the team shouldn't be messing with the iconic uniform.
The Yankees are known for minimal changes to their uniforms, having added the Nike swoosh to the chest of their jerseys in 2020 and a Starr Insurance patch to their sleeves in 2023.
The Yankees will debut the new look on the road against the Astros at Minute Maid Park on March 28.
